2009 UKZN OPEN DAY

MOU WITH AALBORG UNIVERSITY
UKZN is the first South African university to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Aalborg University in Denmark. The MOU, which was signed on 9 February provides for collaboration between the Centre for TelelnFrastruktur (CTIF) at Aalborg University and the Centre for Radio Access and Rural Technologies Centre (CRART) in the School of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering at UKZN.

BEST LECTURERS AWARDS - 2008

DTI EXCELLENCE AWARD

UKZN's Professor Fambirai Takawira, Telkom Professor of Digital Communications, has received the Department of Trade and Industry's (dti) Excellence Award in the Best Black Researcher Category. The award, which Professor Takawira received in Bloemfontein, was in recognition of the contribution he has made in Electrical Engineering.
